Comparative Analysis of Private Health Expenditures: Turkey and Germany Example

Abstract
The aim of this study was to perform a comparative countries, Turkey and Germany in terms of private health expenditure analysis. The data to be analyzed within the scope of the study were obtained from the OECD database between October 2019 and November 2019 and transferred to the Excel program and subjected to comparative analysis. Private health spending to GDP ratio in Turkey 21.97 in 2018, while in Germany was realized as 15.54. GDP rates of private health expenditures in both countries decreased from 2000 to 2018. General Health Insurance came into force in 2008. The cause of this decline for Turkey (GSS) application for Germany in 2009 is thought to have originated from the expansion of the scope of the Hospital Financing Act enters into force. Germany and Turkey among health-insurance systems and their operation is based on terms of serious despite the differences in the absence of a reflection of the economic development of the country one of the biggest reason for the difference of private health expenditure of net financial resources allocated to health in Turkey, Germany was minimal. The reasons for this situation can be revealed in further studies by using different analyzes.
