Evaluation of Financial Performance of Transport and Storage Sector Enterprises With SWARA-OCRA Model

Abstract

Analyzing and evaluating the financial performance of businesses is of great importance for company executives and company-related segments, especially current or potential investors. In this study, the financial performances of BIST transportation and storage sector companies were analyzed. The financial performances of the companies included in the analysis were measured by using integrated SWARA-OCRA multi-criteria decision making methods, using the five-year financial statement data for the 2015-2019 periods. In the study, the weights of the evaluation criteria were determined by the SWARA method, and the financial performance values and rankings of the companies were determined by the OCRA method. With the analysis made, the financial performance rankings of the transportation and storage sector companies in the BIST were made based on the data for the five-year period between 2015-2019. According to the performance rankings, BEYAZ A.Ş. has been the company with the best financial performance in all five periods. In addition, DOCO A.Ş. has been among the top three companies for five periods, although its ranking has changed.
