Investigation of the Relationship Between Distrust in Health Systems and Data Management in the Digital Health Environment
Main Article Content
Abstract
Suspicion towards health care, rejection of treatment and, as a result, worsening of health status vary depending on the degree of distrust of individuals towards health systems. Digital health applications, which enable easier access to health services and follow information about health conditions, are used for better health service delivery. There are some risks arising from the use of digital health technologies. This study was carried out to determine the relationship between distrust in health systems and data management in the digital health environment. The sample of the study consists of 408 health service users. The survey technique was used as a data collection tool and the "Distrust in Health Systems" and "Data Management in the Digital Health Environment" (DMDHE) scales were used. It was concluded that the level of distrust of individuals' health systems and DMDHE levels were above the medium level and there was no significant relationship between the level of distrust in health systems and DMDHE. It is thought that carrying out studies that will increase trust in health systems will be useful in protecting both individual and social health.
