Examination of the Relationship Between Organizational Identification and Unethical Pro-Organizational Behaviors in Health Institutions

Abstract
Making ethical and morally correct decisions is an important output of behavior expected from both employees and leaders in the workplace. However, research on unethical behavior types that cause positive outcomes for organizations has been developing rapidly in the literature recently. One of them is unethical pro-organizational behaviors. The demonstration of these behaviors, which are carried out for the benefit of the organization but are contrary to ethical principles, can be influenced by various organizational factors. Within the scope of the study, the tendency to exhibit unethical pro-organizational behavior is discussed together with the concept of organizational identification. In this context, the aim of the study is to examine the relationship between organizational identification and unethical pro-organizational behaviors in the example of health institutions. In line with the purpose, data was collected from 317 healthcare employee using a survey technique. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was determined that organizational identification had a significant and positive effect on unethical pro-organizational behaviors. As a result of the study, recommendations were presented to the authors who will work on unethical pro-organizational behavior, which has limited research in the literature.
