Analysis of Energy Innovation Performances of European Countries: An Application with Mabac and Marcos Methods
Main Article Content
Abstract
In research, innovation performance of European countries, which are country group that contributes the most to energy innovation in Global Energy Innovation Index (GEII) report for 2021, were measured by MABAC and MARCOS methods over values of components of said index. According to findings, it has been determined that top three countries with the highest global energy innovation performance are Finland, Denmark and Sweden, while first three countries with the least are Poland, Greece and Estonia. In addition, average energy innovation performance values were calculated according to both methods, and it was evaluated that countries with an energy innovation performance value less than said average value should increase their energy innovations in order to contribute to global energy innovation. In terms of method, it has been concluded that energy innovation performance of countries can be measured within scope of GEII according to results of sensitivity, separation distances and relationship analysis.
