Main Article Content
Abstract
Quiet Quitting is defined as leaving a job mentally, even if not physically. The aim of this study is to examine Master's and Doctoral theses published up to March 14, 2026, that contain the phrase "Quiet Quitting " in their titles, using bibliometric analysis based on data obtained from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) National Thesis Center database. Bibliometric analysis is a quantitative approach that combines statistical and mathematical methods to analyze connections between research in a particular discipline. In this context, a total of 53 Master's and Doctoral theses regarding Quiet Quitting were identified. Following the classification process, information about Thesis Type (YL-DR), Author's Gender, Advisor's Academic Title, Publication Year, Thesis Language and Number of Pages were obtained from the database. The findings of this study, which aims to evaluate the general patterns of Master's and Doctoral theses prepared in the field of Quiet Quitting and to contribute to future research in this field, show that the largest number of theses on the subject were prepared in 2025. However, most of the theses were prepared at the master’s level and in Turkish, the majority of the authors are women, and the Median (IQR) value of the number of pages of the theses is 103.00 (54.50). It is thought that the increase in the number of postgraduate theses regarding Quiet Quitting will increase awareness about Quiet Quitting in the Turkish higher education system.
