The Effect of Health Workers' Coping Methods With Stress on Their Life Satisfaction and Happiness Levels: Kırıkkale Example

Abstract
This study is a quantitative cross-sectional descriptive study designed to examine the relationship between stress coping methods, life satisfaction and happiness levels of healthcare workers and their levels of influence on each other. The study group of the research consisted of 258 health workers working at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. In data collection; ‘demographic and personal information form’, ‘Life Satisfaction Scale’, ‘Coping with Stress Scale’ and ‘Happiness Scale’ were used. In the analysis of the data; descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Bonferroni analysis from post-hoc tests and Pearson Correlation analysis were used. The mediating effect of life satisfaction on the effect of coping with stress on happiness and the direct and indirect effects between variables were carried out using Model 4 with SPSS process macro. According to the results of the research; coping with stress positively affects life satisfaction. The increase in coping with stress also increases life satisfaction. It was found that life satisfaction has a partial mediating effect on the effect of coping with stress on happiness. The psychological, spiritual and social needs of healthcare workers should be met, their life satisfaction and happiness levels should be kept at the highest possible level, and their stress levels should be reduced as much as possible to enable them to work more efficiently.
